Life Beneath Our Feet

Intricate, stunning, transcendent are all emotions that come to mind when thinking of flowers, foliage and even insects. When you see a flower, these emotions are usually immediately present, with foliage and insects it takes some appreciation to notice the true beauty. Instantaneous annoyance and fear are usually the first emotions most people think when they see bugs. I must admit I used to have the same response. One day I sat down in the grass with bumble bees all around me this was the first time I didn’t feel completely scared. They went on with their day collecting pollen and contributing to the environment. In this moment I couldn’t help but be so intrigued with these unique little bugs. I decided to get down in the grass more often and start taking photos of the little creatures I found. Not only did I enjoy taking photos of the little creatures I also fell in love with taking pictures of the flowers and foliage around me. Being up close and paying attention to the tiny details that make every leaf, stem, and petal. Every wing, leg, eye, and antenna really makes you realize just how many intricate details there are that make up our surroundings. Finding art in the small details is such a joy and I love being able to bring out the beauty that most people miss. I hope you can enjoy all the unique tiny details that make up these intriguing organisms around us. I hope this will shed light on the way you perceive the creatures and vegetation around you, that are all working so hard to keep our eco system going round.
